The purpose of the meeting is to introduce prospective parents to Frank Foundation Child Assistance International, Frank Adoption Center North Carolina, and Adoption Options San Diego.

- Choosing country of adoption.

- Selecting an agency.

- What is a home study?

- Referrals.

- Placements.

- Travel abroad/the cultural divide.

- The long wait – coping with anticipation.

- 1st trip, 2nd trip, 3rd trip.

- Homecoming.

- Post placements/bonding.

CULTURE, RACE AND IDENTITY IN FOSTER CARE/ADOPTION

Please join us for an afternoon as Krista McCoy, M.S.W, LCSW discusses from a professional and personal perspective the role Christianity plays in raising children of a race and culture different than the adoptive parents. You will have the opportunity to ask questions in this open and honest discussion.

 Are curious about having friends and mentors for your trans-racially adopted child
